Busk to the Future!?
Do you love sharing music? Would you like to be part of bringing the vibe to life at The Ramble Festival?
We are looking for a limited number of Busking Ambassadors to play acoustic music throughout the festival and compete in a busking competition for a chance to win a set at the Ramble Festival in 2025.
Here is what we are looking for from you:
Help create the musical mood of the festival by playing around the festival grounds in coordination with the other Busking Ambassadors and our Busking Chief, Caleb Stine.
Busk along the paths, facilitate jams, and camp with the other Busking Ambassadors in our Busking Camp.
Play Sunday's Busk to the Future competition for a chance to win a set at the Ramble Festival in 2025!
Here’s what we’ll provide to you:
If accepted as a Busking Ambassador, you will be given a ticket to the Ramble Festival, a parking pass, space to setup your camp in the Busker’s Camp, fed for the duration of the event, and a spot in the busking competition on Sunday afternoon on the Ramble Stage. It's not a paid gig, but you can throw out your hat when you’re busking and be showered with the adoration (and generous donations) from your fans.
Things to note:
This opportunity is for individuals, not duos, trios, or other band configurations. Yes, this means that you can’t bring your entire orchestra ensemble. Sorry folks, any applications including multiple people will not be considered. Polish up on your solo act.
We are looking for high-energy musicians that love to engage the audience and add to the vibe. If you’re a busker that frequently has people dancing on tables and singing along to your tunes, you’ll likely go far here friend.
When applying, please provide links to your music, website, and socials - YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc. The more content that you can provide us the better we are able to determine if you are what we are looking for as a Busking Ambassador. Audio tracks are great, videos are even better and significantly preferred! We encourage you to get creative and send us a link to a video of you performing something special just for the Ramble Festival as part of this submission. (Pssst, we need to see you perform and get a feel for what you bring to the table, videos are the best way to do this).
The busking competition will afford you the opportunity to showcase your talent on stage at the Ramble. We encourage you to play an original song that you have written, but allow for covers as well. The busking competition will be judged on musicality as well as audience engagement and involvement, so get out there throughout the festival and busk your heart out to build your fanbase at the Ramble throughout the weekend and get ‘em to come on out and cheer you on at the competition Sunday afternoon.
